Saughtonhall Community Association
Interested in volunteering?
We are always keen to welcome new volunteers. There are so many ways you could help - give an hour or two of your time to help at an event, volunteer with a group on a regular basis, contribute to a sub-committee, or join our committee as a charity trustee. We appreciate help at all our events, especially the very successful Summer Fete. Whether it's home baking, gardening, decorating… all sorts of skills can help you be part of the community and meet new people.
Sub-committees
Sometimes we undertake a bigger piece of work to help shape the future of the SCA and deliver planned improvements. Currently we are working on our refurbishment plans for the hall and separately we are looking at converting our legal form to a SCIO. If you have an interest or expertise in these areas then your involvement would really benefit the SCA.
Charity trustees
The SCA committee are responsible for governing the association, charity funds, and the upkeep of the hall and grounds. Being a trustee is quite a responsibility and we know it is not for everyone. As a charity we are regulated by the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR). OSCR publish helpful guidance to support charity trustees. If you are interested in becoming a trustee please do have a look at the information on the OSCR website.
